Fireground considerations

Incident commanders should ensure there is an effective telecommunication strategy at incidents and let all personnel know about the use of fireground radio channels. The risk of interference from nearby fire service incidents, analogue/digital radios and other users of the radio spectrum should be managed to minimise risk of telecommunication problems affecting safety.
