  • Hazardous processes and substances
  • Hazardous building materials, including asbestos
  • Machinery

Fire and rescue services should:
  • Provide operational personnel with risk information about current demolition sites if available

Tactical actions

Incident commanders should:
  • Establish the previous use of unoccupied, derelict or buildings awaiting demolition

  • Consider requesting specialist advice
  • Consider the original use of the building and any subsequent structural or cosmetic alterations
