The NFCC Prevention Programme is led by the Programme Executive - Neil Odin, Chief Fire Officer, Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service. The inaugural programme board meeting was held on 19 March 2021. 
 
The NFCC Prevention Programme’s vision is:
 
To target prevention activity, based on the outcome of community risk management planning, prevents adverse effect on the public and vulnerable groups, and positively contribute to the behaviour and safety in the community. Prevention activity is delivered consistently by professional and competent personnel; a mindset that prevention is core to a fire and rescue service’s activity within a culture of collaborative working and shared learning. 
 
The NFCC Prevention Programme Strategy will be available in September 2021 which outlines the scope and delivery for this programme.
