Understand:

  • The need for vehicles and equipment to be returned to operational readiness with appropriate speed
  • The need to:
    • Inspect and test operational equipment according to service policy
    • Clean or decontaminate equipment
    • Consider removing defective equipment from use
    • Record any equipment defects or deficiencies and inform the fire control room
  • The procedures for any equipment left in place after an incident

Record details of any equipment intentionally left at the incident ground, and schedule collection of it at an appropriate time

Consider decontamination of personnel, PPE and equipment prior to redeployment
